PREGNANCY IN ADOLESCENTS!!

We all know that nothing is perfect and that education is not the exception, I mean there are plenty of obstacles, so it cannot be developed freely as teachers would imagine or would want.  All the schools face different problems in different areas, Public schools and also Private schools. They both go through very similar issues, for instance, students do not really behave as they should, and security has becomes a gap for teachers to do their jobs nowadays, we can also mention pregnancy in young girls and so on. Since long time ago, teachers have been dealing with these situations. Issues that interfere in the teaching and learning process, not only students are affected by those problems but also teachers.

It is really common to see girls that are still studying and that during that time they get pregnant. But is it that these girls planned so, or is it that something is going wrong in their education either at home or at schools?  

For sure, we know that as teachers, we have many responsibilities over our students so, as good teachers we have to get to know them very well, and in that way; we can know what their needs, interests and their problems are. But parents are the principal models of their kids, so if students are facing difficult problems in their homes or they parents do not pay too much attention to what they do, their children will start doing what they want to, and they won´t care about the consequences.

Moreover, we are in a time where sex is offered everywhere. I mean sexuality is not a taboo anymore, Why? Because we can know about sex in the media means, television, radio, magazine, internet, etc. so the same society is involved in letting the people know that they can try sex and as teenagers are so curious, they want to have sex at very young ages. And I am talking in general terms, boys and girls, they have more freedom, and they feel owners of their lives when they still depend on their parents.

Pregnancy is a complicated issue that affects girls of all ages; we know that boys are not the ones who will look after the kids, but girls, their lives change a lot and sometimes they are forced to leave school. There are even cases in which girls die because their body is not prepared yet. What I am saying is that their system does not allow them to be mother at that time. So do you think that schools need to teach more on sex education? Or is it just parents´ job?
